The Aloysius Duo
Award-winning saxophonist Christopher Lo Jun Hao and composer-performer Reese Carly Manglicmot were inspired to form the Aloysius Duo (formerly Hoolan Duo) from their core values:
- to use their musical gifts to raise awareness for good causes, and;
- to provide communities (especially young people) access to high-quality artistic experiences.
Where to find us
The Aloysius Duo are new artists with Live Music Now Scotland.
Christopher and Reese are musicians who are comfortable not only in the concert hall, but also in community spaces. Since forming their duo in October 2023, they have performed in a variety of contexts, ranging from a salon-style affair at the Scottish Arts Club (Edinburgh), to fundraising endeavours in the Burrell Collection and the Ogilvie Centre at St. Aloysius’ Church (Glasgow).

Our Style
As versatile, sensitive musicians, their exciting performances frequently involve elements such as free improvisation, daring new music and poetry recitations amongst standard repertoire. Their creative, audience-centred programs vary, placing emphasis upon enjoyment and inclusivity to provide a shared artistic experience.
